Scenario-based learning toolkit
How to build a scenario-based e-learning activity⚓
We strongly encourage you to apply to get access to this free Scenario Design toolkit, created by Cathy Moore, the author of the action mapping concept.
We also highly recommend the resources referenced in this material. Note that some of them are not free.
Advice : Important to remember⚓
Some of terminology used in this toolkit is not fully aligned with the ICRC Learning Solutions Upskilling Path.
• Actions (what people need to do) are similar to critical work behaviours (CWBs) in ICRC terminology. The difference is that an action is often a less complex type of behaviour. Therefore, once you have the CWBs, you will be able to extract actions from them. In some cases, what you describe as a CWB may have the same level of complexity as an action.
• The (business) goal is called the organization's expected result in the ICRC's LS terminology.
