How to present information in e-learning

This toolkit will help you adopt some rules and get ideas on how to best present content to learners. We highly recommend that you follow these guidelines and create a valuable, user-friendly module for your learners.

Before you start, remember that a high-quality e-learning course should have a strong learning basis with contextualized, practice activities that resemble real-life situations. That is why it is called e-learning, not e-presenting. Therefore, we encourage you to avoid sharing too much information which may overwhelm your learners. It's better to invest time in developing practical activities.

The LS Upskilling path[1] will provide ideas and guidance on how you can create a meaningful and practical course.

Here's a quick reminder of what it takes to set up a good training:

  • set the expected results with your sponsor[2]

  • explore learners' needs

  • identify critical work behaviours (CWB)

  • Identify learning outcomes based on CWB

Tip

If you still have a solid reason create knowledge-based course, use this toolkit to make the best out of your project. Don't forget to ensure that any piece of content inserted in your course should correspond to an appropriate learning outcome.
